Mackenzie Lycans is an Alabama-based illustrator with a passion for visual storytelling. Originally an oil painter, she brings traditional practices into a digital medium which brings a humanistic quality to her work. Her work is known for its bright colors and dynamic compositions, and she always likes to create something unexpected.

Mackenzie earned her BFA in illustration at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design where she graduated with top honors. There she learned the ins and outs of the Adobe Creative Suite, and how to push her designs to new heights. Since graduating, Mackenzie has been working as a freelance illustrator and designer, screen print artist, and graphic designer Integration Innovation Inc. in Huntsville, AL.

Her client list includes Jacob’s Space Exploration Group, Trek Bikes, Colectivo Coffee, Innerspace Brewing, Sewing Down South, Frito Lays, Jack Daniels, Milwaukee World Festival, and more. 

Mackenzie lives in Huntsville, Alabama with her husband and pets.
