COLLAPSE is Mackenzie’s 2023 capstone project during her senior year at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in 2023.
Mackenzie took on writing, formatting, planning, and illustrating her thesis within about six months’ time. during that period, she not only met all her self-assigned goals but also added pages that weren’t included in her original plan for the project.
COLLASPE follows a family in a not so near future as the navigate an environmental collapse. Her thesis is the first chapter, which primarily focuses on the father and husband of the story as he witnesses the destruction of the seawall that had previously shielded Titusville from the rising ocean.
